Königsbacher Heidböhl Riesling QW VDP.Erstes Gewächs 0.75L

The Königsbacher Heidböhl is a dry Riesling from the VDP.Erste Lage – one level below the Große Gewächse, but with a clear terroir fingerprint that makes this origin clearly palpable.

Weingut A. Christmann is one of the defining addresses of the Pfalz. The family winery in Gimmeldingen farms its sites biodynamically and has been Demeter-certified for years. The Königsbacher Heidböhl site is located east of the renowned Grand Cru site Idig, towards the Rhine plain – a transition area with its own character that gives the Riesling structure and depth.

In the glass, the Heidböhl shows the typical Pfalz Riesling line: ripe citrus fruit, a hint of white peach, plus mineral spice and a fresh, well-integrated acidity. The finish is dry, precise, and of pleasant length.

Pairs well with asparagus with hollandaise sauce, fried zander, or mild goat cheese. Drinking temperature: 10–12 °C.
