The Kavalan Triple Sherry is a single malt from Taiwan with 40% ABV and is delivered in a strictly limited gift box for the Year of the Horse. The Fire Horse only returns every 60 years. This is referenced by the golden, galloping horse and the peonies on the packaging.

The Kavalan Distillery in Yilan is one of the most famous distilleries in Taiwan. For the Triple Sherry, the whisky matures in Oloroso, Pedro-Ximénez, and Moscatel casks. Hence the distinct sherry influence: dried fruits, caramel, and malt sugar sweetness meet the tropical fruit typical of Kavalan. The finish is long and warm.

Inside the box, next to the bottle, is a 50 ml miniature. You can open it for an initial tasting, give it away, or add it to your collection. Recommendation: neat in a tulip glass, at room temperature and with a drop of water if you want to open up the aromas further. Dark chocolate or nuts go well with it.
