Verdejo variety

The wine presents itself in a bright, glossy straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, it displays a fragrant, slightly grassy bouquet with fresh aromas of gooseberries, fresh herbs, citrus fruits such as lime, grapefruit, and lemon zest, as well as blackcurrant blossom. These are complemented by delicate exotic notes and a hint of fennel. On the palate, it is very juicy, with invigorating freshness, lively acidity, and fine minerality. The fragrant aromas of the bouquet are also clearly perceptible on the palate, delicately enveloped by the slightly creamy texture imparted by the brief lees aging. The wine is full-bodied with a beautiful balance of richness, fruit, and freshness, and displays an elegant finish with the delicate bitterness characteristic of Verdejo. A suitable accompaniment to appetizers, fish and seafood, pasta, rice, and white meat. Smoked foods, soft cheeses, and cured meats are also recommended.

José Pariente

The winery was founded by his daughter Victoria, but the Bodegas would be inconceivable without José Pariente. For over forty years, José was a passionate winemaker. His particular love was for the Verdejo grape variety native to Rueda. He passed this love and passion on to his daughter, who was only too happy to follow in his footsteps. After completing her studies in viticulture and oenology, Victoria opened her own winery, which she named "Bodegas José Pariente" in grateful memory of her father. There, she now produces her own wines, sometimes traditional, sometimes innovative. Today, she is supported by the third generation of Parientes, who are dedicated to the vinification of select white wines from Rueda with undiminished passion.
