José Pariente

The winery was founded by his daughter Victoria, but the Bodegas would be inconceivable without José Pariente. For over forty years, José was a passionate winemaker. His particular love was for the Verdejo grape variety native to Rueda. He passed this love and passion on to his daughter, who was only too happy to follow in his footsteps. After completing her studies in viticulture and oenology, Victoria opened her own winery, which she named "Bodegas José Pariente" in grateful memory of her father. There, she now produces her own wines, sometimes traditional, sometimes innovative. Today, she is supported by the third generation of Parientes, who are dedicated to the vinification of select white wines from Rueda with undiminished passion.

Bodegas José Pariente —
Verdejo from Rueda, three generations of craftsmanship

Bodegas José Pariente is a family winery from Rueda , named after a man who dedicated over forty years to winemaking with genuine conviction. José Pariente's particular affection was for the Verdejo grape—a variety that has been at home on this Castilian plateau for centuries and whose fresh acidity, herbal spice, and mineral depth reflect the terroir of the Duero basin.

His daughter Victoria studied viticulture and oenology before founding the winery and naming it after her father—not as a gesture of nostalgia, but as a guiding principle. She works with both classic winemaking methods and modern approaches, depending on what the grapes demand. Today, the third generation of the family is active in the winery, and the style remains recognizable: precise, single-varietal white wines that take Rueda seriously as their origin.

In the Vinoscout range you will find the most important cuvées of the house — from the accessible entry-level Verdejo to the more mature selections that show what this grape variety can achieve when given time and care.
