The winery was founded by his daughter Victoria, but the Bodegas would be inconceivable without José Pariente. For over forty years, José was a passionate winemaker. His particular love was for the Verdejo grape variety native to Rueda. He passed this love and passion on to his daughter, who was only too happy to follow in his footsteps. After completing her studies in viticulture and oenology, Victoria opened her own winery, which she named "Bodegas José Pariente" in grateful memory of her father. There, she now produces her own wines, sometimes traditional, sometimes innovative. Today, she is supported by the third generation of Parientes, who are dedicated to the vinification of select white wines from Rueda with undiminished passion.

Bodegas José Pariente –
three generations of Verdejo from Rueda
José Pariente was a winemaker in Rueda for over forty years – and his passion was primarily for the Verdejo grape, which has been at home on this Castilian plateau for centuries. His daughter Victoria followed in his footsteps: after studying oenology, she founded Bodegas José Pariente, named after her father, whose signature is still palpable in every wine today.
Victoria Pariente works with both classic and modern vinification methods – depending on what the vintage and the site require. The result is precise, fresh white wines that show the terroir of Rueda: mineral coolness, lively acidity, and the characteristic herbal spice of the Verdejo grape. Not a style for the sake of style, but wines that come from the place where they grow.
Today, the third generation of the Pariente family is already active in the winery. The continuity is no coincidence: Rueda, Verdejo, and the father's craft remain the core – complemented by a new generation's perspective on quality and expression.
