Iron Maiden Boldest Red

Iron Maiden Boldest Red
A red wine that takes its name seriously: the Iron Maiden Boldest Red from Vinícola de Castilla comes from the heart of Castile with the clear ambition to make an impression.
Vinícola de Castilla is one of the established wineries of the Denominación de Origen La Mancha — one of Spain's largest wine-growing regions, characterized by an extreme continental climate, barren soils, and intense sunlight. These conditions produce red wines with substance: dark fruit, powerful structure, warm spice.
In the glass, the Boldest Red shows a deep ruby red. On the nose, black cherry and blackberry dominate, underpinned by notes of dark chocolate and a hint of toasted oak. On the palate, it presents itself as full-bodied with round tannins and a pleasant spice of pepper and licorice — the finish is long and warm.
It is best served at 16–18 °C with grilled rack of lamb, grilled chorizo, or a strong Manchego. It also cuts a fine figure for a movie night with a good steak — uncomplicated, full of character, direct.
