This is from now on the most widely grown grape variety in Alsace. Fragrant and powerful is this wine, yet fine, at the same time full-bodied and thirst-quenching. Ideal for all occasions where a dry white wine is appropriate: rustic buffet, white meat, fish and crustaceans.

Beautifully young, fresh and lively in appearance, with predominantly light green reflections, very radiant and shimmering.

Fresh, lively, quite vibrant nose, still a bit reserved and yet very fruity and floral after it had breathed for a few minutes, when a mineral, a little smoky and volcanic nuance unfolds, with aromas of sweet almonds, currant, lime. Young, but promising.

Very balanced, harmonious, dry and delicate at the same time, where tension and power are in harmony. A structure and a sustainability that one rarely finds in a Pinot blanc.

Hugel & Fils

Hugel & Fils – the soul of Alsace. Since 1639, this name has been inextricably linked with viticulture in Riquewihr. Today, Jean-Philippe, Etienne, and Marc Hugel run the family winery in the 13th generation – a worldwide synonym for Alsace wines.

Their 30 hectares in and around Riquewihr include half Grand Cru sites like Schoenenbourg, the vines on average 35 years old. Hugel consciously refrains from Grand Cru labeling – their own quality standards are stricter. Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir unfold incomparable finesse here.

Member of the Primum Familiae Vini, awarded by Wine Spectator – and still a family business. Alsace, as it should be.
