Hugel Grossi Laüe Gewürztraminer
The Hugel Gewürztraminer Grossi Laüe is an intensely aromatic wine from Alsace that beautifully showcases the characteristic fragrance of this grape variety. Nose: Intensely woolly blossoms, roses, lychee, passion fruit, mango; often a spicy, slightly peppery note and a hint of grapefruit or citrus. Palate: Full, round, and creamy to oily on the palate, with a clear abundance of fruit (lychee, raisins, tropical fruits) and aromatic spice. The acidity is usually moderate, giving it an opulent yet well-balanced character.

Hugel & Fils – the soul of Alsace. Since 1639, this name has been inextricably linked to winemaking in Riquewihr. Today, Jean-Philippe, Etienne, and Marc Hugel run the family winery in its 13th generation – a global synonym for Alsatian wines. Their 30 hectares in and around Riquewihr comprise half of Grand Cru vineyards such as Schoenenbourg, with vines averaging 35 years old. Hugel consciously avoids Grand Cru labeling – their own quality standards are stricter. Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir develop unparalleled finesse here. A member of Primum Familiae Vini, recognized by Wine Spectator – and still a family business. Alsace as it should be.
