Heaven's Door Double Barrel Whiskey 50%vol Blend American Whiskey 0.7L

Heaven's Door Double Barrel is a blended American whiskey that brings bourbon and rye together in one bottle. It comes in the bottle at 50% ABV and is designed for structure and depth.

The base consists of two Tennessee Straight Bourbons with different mash bills, plus a Straight Rye Whiskey. The components are stored for around six years in new American oak barrels. They are then married and mature for another year in heavily charred bourbon barrels. Hence the interplay of sweetness and spicy edge.

Roasted caramel, vanilla, and baking spices appear in the glass, along with citrus fruit. Fresh oak and a hint of tobacco provide support. On the palate, it feels deep and structured; the aftertaste remains warm and long.

Recommendation: neat or on a large ice cube. It also stands on its own without food accompaniment, for example as a nightcap in the evening.
