Heartland Director's Cut Shiraz

Heartland Director's Cut Shiraz
A Shiraz that doesn't do things by halves: jet black in the glass, 14.5% ABV, with a density rarely found in this price range.
Heartland Wines works on the Limestone Coast in southeastern Australia – a region known for its chalky soils and maritime climate. Both are reflected in the Director's Cut: despite its richness, a structuring coolness is retained, preventing the wine from becoming heavy.
On the nose, cassis, dark blackberry, and dark chocolate, along with tobacco and a hint of mocha. On the palate, it offers great volume – concentrated fruit, velvety yet firmly integrated tannins, and a long, lingering texture. The finish carries spice and a subtle toasty note. James Halliday rated the wine 94 points .
