Heartland Spice Trader

The Heartland Spice Trader is made from separately fermented Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which are also grown separately to preserve their typical varietal characteristics and complexity. Aging in oak barrels for 12 months results in complex fruit and a smoother structure. This also brings out the exotic notes more clearly. Blackberry, currant, and blueberry aromas are particularly noticeable on the palate. These are complemented by exotic spice notes, which enhance the impression of a complex and distinctive wine. The first vintage of the Spice Trader was created in 2012. It was named after spice traders because Heartland carefully selects particularly spicy grapes for this wine. 90 points James Halliday (for the 2013 vintage) 90 points Robert M. Heartland Wines

Heartland Winery – a place where nature plays along. Directly on Lake Alexandria in Australia, a cool breeze ensures a temperature drop of around 10 degrees every afternoon over two hours. The grapes ripen more slowly – and gain complexity, freshness, and elegance.

Robert Parker calls Heartland wines “some of the most distinctive and complex in Australia.” Ben Glaetzer combines the power and fruit of old vines with surprising elegance and complexity here.

Heartland – the wine with the best view of the gum trees. You can taste it, no matter where you are. Pure Australia in a glass.
