Grappa Il Moscato MV Imperiale L'Imperiale matured in barrique 41% vol. 6.3L

Grappa made from pure Moscato pomace, aged in barriques — this is the Imperiale line from Nonino, one of Italy's most renowned grappa distilleries. The Nonino family has been based in Percoto in Friuli since 1897 and is considered a pioneer of modern grappa production: it was they who, in the 1970s, first distilled single-varietal pomace from a single grape variety, permanently changing the world of grappa.

For the Il Moscato, freshly harvested, single-varietal Moscato pomace is processed gently and immediately after the grape harvest — this preserves the volatile aromatic compounds of the grape variety. The barrique aging then adds a second layer to the floral base profile: on the nose, rose blossom, sage, and a hint of vanilla appear, underscored by the gentle sweetness of the Moscato grape. On the palate, the grappa is soft and round, with a long, warm finish.

At 41% ABV, it remains accessible and elegant. Enjoyed neat after a meal, slightly tempered to about 14–16 °C, it unfolds its aroma profile best — or as an accompaniment to almond pastries, panna cotta, or a ripe Gorgonzola.
