Grappa Di Fragolino Cru Monovitigno Colli Del Friuli Orientale 45% ABV 0.5L

A single-varietal pomace brandy from Fragolino grapes, bottled at 45% ABV. This grappa belongs to the Cru Monovitigno line from Nonino and shows how fruit-forward a pomace distillate can be.

Nonino Distillatori is a family business in Friuli and is considered a pioneer of single-varietal grappa. Instead of mixing pomace from different grape varieties, a single variety is distilled here, which grows in the Colli Orientali del Friuli. Fragolino is a rarity with a distinct berry tone that is reflected in the distillate.

Crystal clear in the glass. On the nose, fresh berries reminiscent of strawberry, plus darker forest fruits. On the palate, the fruitiness continues, carried by the pressure of the 45% ABV; the finish remains long and slightly nutty.

Serve it neat at 11 to 13 °C in a small tulip glass. It works as the finish to a menu, with dark chocolate, or with desserts featuring forest fruits.

The Distillery

Nonino Distillatori

Nonino Distillatori from Percoto in Friuli has reinvented grappa – and that is no exaggeration. For generations, the Nonino family has been distilling with a passion that you can feel in every sip.

What was once considered a rustic pomace brandy drink, Nonino has turned into an elegant world-class spirit. The three sisters Cristina, Antonella and Elisabetta continue the legacy of their parents Giannola and Benito today – and were named the best distillery in the world in 2020. A merit that shows in every detail: from the hand-blown Murano bottles to the aged Gran Riserva.
