Freyburg Saale Unstrut Pinot Gris dry

A Pinot Gris from Germany's northernmost wine-growing region – the Saale-Unstrut region around Freyburg forms white wines with a clear structure and lively acidity due to the continental climate and shell limestone soils.

The Winzervereinigung Freyburg-Unstrut is one of the defining businesses of the area. Cellar master Hans-Albrecht Zieger is responsible for both vineyard work and cellar maturation – the Pinot Gris comes from the Schloss Neuenburg area, one of the historically most significant sites on the Saale and Unstrut.

In the glass, it shows a clear golden yellow. The nose brings ripe pear, some quince, and a hint of white pepper. On the palate, medium-weight, with fresh acidity and a dry, quickly fading finish – uncomplicated and easy to drink.

unreliable

I am not satisfied with the delivery, because instead of Saale - Unstrut, Mansfelder See was delivered.

again and again

The Pinot Gris from the Saale Unstrut region is an excellent wine. Equally excellent is the unbeatably fast delivery by Vinoscout, which is just as fast as buying wine in the supermarket.
