Franz Keller Weißburgunder Oberbergender Bass Violin

Cool nose with fresh herbs and baked apple. Clear and finely juicy, sublime appearance with power, broad shoulders and a firm backbone, invigoratingly fresh and very expressive, emerging minerality with a hint of saltiness but also a clear apple note, rather baked or like strudel, has consistency, complex and multi-layered with a bit of bitterness at the end of the palate, very balanced, long finish with plenty of apple in the aftertaste again.

Franz Keller

VDP Member Estate

Franz Keller winery – Baden wine culture since 1892. Today managed by Fritz Keller, who, in addition to his profession as a winemaker, is also a hotelier and president of SC Freiburg. Located just ten kilometers from the French border in Oberbergen, it is one of the largest and most internationally respected wineries in Germany.

35 hectares of vineyards, spread over eight sites. Among the best are the Oberbergener Bassgeige and the Pulverbuck. Loess, volcanic rock, basalt weathering – this is where Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc primarily grow. 200,000 bottles full of character every year.

And for those who want to stay longer: the "Schwarzer Adler" hotel and "Kellerwirtschaft" restaurant invite you to visit. Baden, the way it lives.
