Erath Pinot Noir Reserve Collection

The Erath Pinot Noir Reserve Collection shows what Oregon Pinot Noir can do when consistent selection meets careful cellar work: dark fruit, fine structure, velvety texture.

Erath is one of the pioneers of the Willamette Valley. Dick Erath was one of the first to focus on Pinot Noir in Oregon in the late 1960s – at a time when this was considered a risky venture. Today, the winery stands for reliable quality from one of the world's most important Pinot Noir regions, with its cool climate, volcanic soils, and long growing seasons.

For the Reserve Collection, only the best parcels of the vintage are selected. Fourteen months of aging in French oak barrels leave their mark: On the nose, dark cherry, currant, and ripe plum, underpinned by soft wood, vanilla, and a hint of cocoa. Floral and earthy notes add complexity to the wine. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins, a velvety texture, and a long finish.

Serving temperature: 16–17 °C. Pairs well with duck breast with Pinot Noir jus, herb-crusted rack of lamb, or aged goat cheese. If desired, allow it to age for another 2–3 years – the structure will support this.
