Emrich-Schönleber Riesling QbA dry

A classic Nahe Riesling from the Emrich-Schönleber winery – dry, with the typical combination of fruit and minerality for the region.

The Emrich-Schönleber winery in Monzingen has been one of the most reliable wineries in the Nahe region for decades. Frank Schönleber cultivates the steep slopes around Monzingen – including the renowned Halenberg and Frühlingsplätzchen vineyards – with great care. The Riesling QbA is the entry-level wine in their range, but clearly reflects the winery's signature style: clear, precise, and without heaviness.

On the nose, bright yellow fruit – mirabelle plum, green apple – complemented by a slightly herbal undertone and subtle floral notes. On the palate, fresh, lively acidity, a lean body, and a delicate, smooth finish. Not a complex single-vineyard wine, but a reliable, easy-drinking Riesling with a distinctive character.

Serving temperature 8–10 °C. Pairs well with asparagus with hollandaise sauce, light fish dishes, or a goat cheese salad. Also suitable as a simple aperitif. Drink now.

Emrich-Schönleber

Emrich-Schönleber is one of the names you should know if you truly want to understand Riesling. The family winery of Werner and Frank Schönleber is located on the Nahe River – a region often overshadowed by the Mosel and Rheingau, but one that boasts vineyards of exceptional quality. Their Grand Cru wines from the Halenberg and Auf der Ley vineyards regularly set new standards: mineral, precise, with an aging potential spanning decades.
