Monzinger Halenberg Riesling GG Magnum

Firm, cool, and deep, still slightly unsettled, very mineral citrus and stone fruit aromas with tart, herbal nuances in the background. Ripe, delicately melting, and almost olive oil-spiced, subtly sweet fruit, very fine, lively acidity and a touch of tannin, pronounced minerality, slightly chalky notes, persistent on the palate, good depth, fine vegetal nuances in the background, complex, firm, still barely developed, very good to long, finely juicy finish with very fresh and delicate vegetal aromas and tremendous minerality.

VDP Member Estate

Emrich-Schönleber is one of the names you should know if you truly want to understand Riesling. The family winery of Werner and Frank Schönleber is located on the Nahe River – a region often overshadowed by the Mosel and Rheingau, but one that boasts vineyards of exceptional quality. Their Grand Cru wines from the Halenberg and Auf der Ley vineyards regularly set new standards: mineral, precise, with an aging potential spanning decades.
