Domaines Ott Rosé Romassan AC Bandol 0.75L

The Château Romassan from Domaines Ott is one of the most well-known addresses in Bandol — a small but fine appellation on the Provençal coast between Toulon and Cassis. The Ott family has been managing the winery for generations and has helped shape the rosé style of the region: structured, dry, with a clear terroir character instead of pleasing sweetness.

Marl and limestone soils, intense sunlight, and the drying Mistral shape the terroir around Romassan. The predominant Cinsault brings freshness and finesse to the wine — a grape variety that shows its most elegant side in this location. The organic-certified cultivation according to FR-BIO-01 ensures clean, unadulterated fruit in the glass.

The color is a light, luminous peach pink with a salmon shimmer. On the nose, nectarine, white flowers, and a hint of citrus peel appear, underneath a fine mineral note reminiscent of chalk. On the palate, dry and lively, with a crisp acid structure that keeps the wine long and fresh. The finish brings subtle spice — herbs de Provence, a touch of white pepper — and a salty minerality that is typical for Bandol rosé wines from these soils.

Serve at 10–12 °C. The Romassan is an ideal companion to grilled sea bass with fennel, bouillabaisse, or langoustines with aioli. Equally good with a goat cheese salad with tomatoes or as an aperitif on the terrace when the sun is low.

Domaines Ott

Domaines Ott is a French winery located in Provence, in the sun-drenched south of the country. It was founded in 1836 by Marcel Ott and is today owned and managed by Jean-François and Christian Ott – for generations, the family has thus remained true to its own ambition of creating wines of exceptional elegance.

The winery consists of three characterful domains: Château de Selle, Clos Mireille, and Château Romassan, which together have a vineyard area of more than 200 hectares. Each of these sites contributes its own terroir – from the barren hills in the interior to the coastal vineyards with a Mediterranean climate. For production, grape varieties such as Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah are grown, which in this variety of soils and sites grow into wines with fine structure and typical Provençal freshness.

Since 2004, Domaines Ott has been part of the renowned champagne house Louis Roederer – a connection that further underscores tradition and the highest quality standards. Anyone who tastes the wines of Domaines Ott experiences Provence in its elegant, unmistakable best form.
