El Coto de Rioja is the culmination of a project undertaken by a group of passionate Rioja wine experts who sought to create a new style that would highlight the virtues of the terroir, the grape variety, and a distinctive winemaking process. This style remains the defining characteristic of El Coto and Coto de Imaz wines. This passion has been passed on to the new experts who have joined the team. Coto de Imaz Rioja Reserva displays a dark, deep ruby ​​red color. On the palate, it is harmoniously rounded, very well-structured, velvety, and flavorful, with polished and ripe tannins and lingering ripe fruit notes. The finish is fruity and lingering. The story of El Coto de Rioja began in 1970 with the first harvest and continued with the opening of its production facilities in 1976. The Spanish winery is located in the north of the country, an hour and a half from the city of Bilbao. El Coto de Rioja has an international presence and exports its wines to over 70 countries worldwide.
