Corralillo Chardonnay - Organic

A Chardonnay that takes full advantage of Chile's coastal climate: fresh, structured, with a hint of wood — but without the wood having the last word.

The Corralillo comes from Matetic, one of Chile's most renowned organic wine producers. The winery is situated in the cool climate of the San Antonio Valley near Casablanca, where the Pacific influence ensures cool nights and slow ripening—conditions that give the Chardonnay a freshness and vibrancy rarely achieved in warmer Chilean regions. Organic farming is not a marketing promise, but has been an integral part of the winery's philosophy for years.

In the glass, the wine displays aromas of ripe yellow plum and pineapple, underpinned by white blossoms and a mineral undertone. On the palate, it is full-bodied but not heavy—70% barrel aging imparts subtle vanilla and toasty wood notes without masking its natural freshness. The finish is long and vibrant, with a salty edge inherited from the coastal climate.

Best served at 10–12 °C . Pairs well with grilled sea bass, chicken in lemon sauce, or a creamy risotto with Parmesan.
