Château Suau AC Côtes de Bordeaux 0.75L

A classically structured red wine from the southern Bordeaux — dry, with the typical tannin structure of the region and a clear profile of origin.

Château Suau is located in Capian, within the Cadillac-Côtes-de-Bordeaux appellation. The vines grow on gravel and clay soils on south to south-east facing slopes — a location that gives the blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon good ripeness and depth. The estate is managed organically, which is reflected in the vineyard primarily in soil health and the concentration of the grapes.

In the glass, the wine shows the Merlot-typical aromas of red fruits and dark plum, plus a hint of cassis from the Cabernet portion. It is aged for 18 months in concrete tanks, without wood. The tannins are present but not harsh; the acidity gives the wine length and hold. Dry, medium-weight finish with a spicy aftertaste. Serving temperature: 16–18 °C.

Pairs well with leg of lamb with herbs de Provence, braised beef, or a strong hard cheese like Cantal. It also makes a good companion for a simple barbecue evening.
