Chateau Grand Pey Lescours Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Dark ruby red in the glass, a bouquet of blackberry, cassis and damp forest floor — this Saint-Émilion Grand Cru shows the typical character of the right bank of the Gironde: velvety, structured, with real depth.

Château Grand Pey Lescours lies in the heart of Saint-Émilion, one of Bordeaux's most prestigious appellations. The soils here alternate between calcareous clay and sand—a combination that gives Merlot-dominated wines their characteristic richness and, at the same time, a fresh vibrancy.

After opening, it's worth letting the wine decant for 20-30 minutes. This allows the aromas to fully develop: dark cherries, a hint of cedar, and dried herbs. On the palate, soft, well-integrated tannins, medium body, and a rounded, lingering finish without any harshness.

  • Dishes: Entrecôte with red wine butter, leg of lamb with rosemary, mature Comté cheese
  • Temperature: 16–18 °C

Château Grand Pey Lescours

Château Grand Pey Lescours – this is Saint-Émilion as it should be: family-oriented, down-to-earth and with a genuine feel for nature.

Since 1924, the Escure family has cultivated this 25-hectare vineyard in Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens, near the Dordogne River. The gravelly and sandy soils, some with iron-rich subsoil, give the Merlot and Cabernet Franc their distinctive character. For over ten years, the winery has been working exclusively organically – without herbicides or synthetic fertilizers, but with oats, peas, and broad beans sown between the vines.

Three generations of experience, a clear commitment to the environment, and wines that reflect exactly that: authentic Bordeaux with attitude.
