Chardonnay IGT Tuscany 0.75L

Chardonnay from Tuscany — that sounds unusual, but it is part of the program at Isole e Olena. The winery in Chianti Classico, known for its consistent work in the vineyard and clear signature in the cellar, produces this white wine as part of the Collezione Privata: a line that, away from the classic Sangiovese world, shows what the Tuscan hills can also do.

In the glass, it shines in an intense straw yellow with green reflections. On the nose, hazelnut and white asparagus, plus ripe pear and a fresh, floral line. On the palate, dry and taut, with a texture that has weight without appearing heavy. The finish is long and mineral.

It is best served at 10–12 °C — with grilled turbot, lobster with butter, scallops, or a creamy risotto with white truffle. Also a good choice with aged Pecorino.
