Champagne Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut 1.5L Magnum

Champagne Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut 1.5L Magnum
The 1.5-liter magnum is not a bottle to be hidden away—it sets the tone. Veuve Clicquot's Brut Réserve in this size matures more slowly than in the 0.75-liter bottle because the ratio of wine volume to bottle surface area ensures a more even development.
In the glass: white peach, anise, and biscuit, finishing with a smoky, mineral note. A robust acidity with a creamy texture—typical of the house style from this Reims producer, which is based on a high proportion of Pinot Noir and a significant amount of reserve wine.
Serving temperature 8–10 °C. Pairs well with oysters, scallops or a classic lobster bisque — or simply as an aperitif for a larger group.
Veuve Clicquot – behind this name lies one of the most fascinating stories in Champagne. In 1805, at just 27 years old, the widow Clicquot took over her late husband's house and revolutionized Champagne production: The riddling rack, which she helped develop, remains the standard to this day.
The distinctive yellow label is much more than just a logo – it stands for reliability, maturity, and a full-bodied style that combines depth with elegance. At its heart is the non-vintage Yellow Label , characterized by Pinot Noir and decades of cellar experience.
