Champagne Virginie T. Brut - half bottle 0.375L

A champagne in half-bottle format: The Champagne Virginie T. Brut comes in a 0.375-liter bottle, making it suitable for two glasses as an aperitif without having to open a whole bottle.

It comes from the Champagne region in France, the only growing area allowed to bear this name. The wines are created there using traditional bottle fermentation, where the second fermentation and aging on the lees take place in the bottle. We currently have no confirmed information about the producer and the exact cuvée, so we limit ourselves to what defines the Brut style.

Brut stands for a dry champagne with at most 12 g/l residual sugar. Typical for the style are aromas of citrus, green apple, and brioche, plus a fine perlage and a fresh acidity that provides drive in the finish. Serve at 6 to 8 °C in a slender white wine glass or a champagne flute.

It works just as well as an aperitif as it does with oysters, fried scallops, smoked salmon, or salted nuts. The half-bottle is suitable for a spontaneous toast for two, as a small gift, or to start a meal.
