Chambolle Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru AC Premier Cru 0.75L
Chambolle-Musigny is considered the most elegant municipality of the Côte de Nuits — and Les Sentiers, a Premier Cru climate on the southern edge of the village, embodies exactly this elegance: Pinot Noir with depth, but without heaviness.
François Feuillet cultivates sites in this classic Burgundy village, where limestone-rich soils and the special exposure of the slope give the Pinot Noir an unmistakable minerality. Les Sentiers borders the Grands Crus of Vougeot and benefits from this neighborhood — the soils are deeper than in the higher-lying climates, which gives the wine more substance.
In the glass, it shows a ruby-red Burgundy with violet reflections. Aromas of fresh sour cherry and raspberry, underpinned by violets and a hint of dry earth. On the palate, fine-grained, silky tannins, lively acidity, and a long, slightly mineral finish — typical for the best sites of Chambolle.
Pairs with guinea fowl with morels, a ripe Époisses, or tenderly roasted rack of lamb with herbs of Provence. Serving temperature: 14–16 °C — slightly cooler than many red wines, so that the fruit and finesse of the Pinot Noir come into their own.
