Cave St Pierre Alpes Dole du Valais

Cave St Pierre Alpes Dole du Valais
Dôle is the Valaisan equivalent of Burgundy's Passetoutgrain – and it works for the same reason: Pinot Noir provides structure and depth, Gamay brings fruit and drinkability.
Cave St. Pierre is one of the traditional cooperatives in the canton of Valais that rely on grapes from the sun-drenched slopes along the Rhône. The continental climate, nestled between the Alpine backdrop and intense sunshine, ensures fully ripe grapes with clear varietal character.
In the glass, the Dôle du Valais displays aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and a hint of clove . The palate is soft, with fine tannins and a pleasantly fresh acidity on the finish – not a heavy, bulky red, but a wine that can be enjoyed without hesitation.
- Food: Valais raclette, charcuterie, grilled salsiccia or lamb chops
