Catena Malbec

Nicolás Catena Zapata began planting Malbec vines at altitudes of over 1,000 meters in the 1980s – bucking the trend at the time. The cooler temperatures and intense Andean sun produce grapes with concentrated fruit and a refreshing acidity. Today, the winery is considered a benchmark for Argentinian Malbec.

In the glass, it displays a dark ruby ​​red color. The nose offers aromas of blackberry and black cherry, along with hints of coffee, tobacco, and black pepper. On the palate, it presents juicy fruit, a silky texture, and fine-grained tannins that leave no harshness – the finish is long and spicy.
