A Cabernet Sauvignon from Knights Valley that shows the quiet side of Sonoma: no opulence at any price, but structure and depth from one of the county's lesser-known sites.

Beringer is one of the oldest continuously operating wineries in Northern California — founded in 1876 in Napa, and active in neighboring Knights Valley for decades. The site is located in the northeast of Sonoma County, borders Napa, and benefits from stony, well-drained soils as well as cool nights that stabilize acidity and sharpen the aromatics.

In the glass, it shows black cherry, blackberry, and ripe plum, underpinned by cocoa, vanilla, and a hint of cedar. On the palate, it has a medium to full body, round tannins, and a slightly spicy finish with a herbal note.

Pairs with beef steak, braised rack of lamb, or mature cheddar. Serving temperature: 16–18 °C.
