Beringer Classic Chardonnay

The Beringer Classic Chardonnay from California stands for uncomplicated drinking pleasure in the style of the New West: fruity, soft, with a hint of sweetness in the mouthfeel.

Beringer is one of the oldest wineries in Napa Valley – founded in 1876, today boasting a broad portfolio ranging from entry-level wines to prestige blends. The Classic Chardonnay is the entry-level model in the line and aims for accessibility: no heavy oak dominance, no expression of a single vineyard site, but a solid California style with a clear fruit profile.

In the glass, it shines a bright golden yellow. On the nose, ripe yellow apple and a hint of white peach, along with delicate floral aromas. On the palate, it displays the typical characteristics of many California Chardonnays: a slightly creamy, almost smooth mouthfeel with moderate acidity and a clean, short finish.

Serving suggestion: Serve well chilled at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with chicken salad, light pasta dishes with cream sauce, or grilled salmon. Also suitable as a simple aperitif – best enjoyed young.

Beringer

The American winery Beringer is located in the famous Napa Valley in California. Founded in 1875 by the German brothers Friedrich and Jakob Beringer, it initially comprised 87 hectares of vineyards. Today, it is run by Ed Sbragia and Bob Steinhauer, who own 1,200 hectares. The alluvial soils of Napa Valley are ideally suited for growing grapes. Beringer wines are produced from grape varieties such as Zinfadel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Petite Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Chardonnay.
