Birkenhof Egg Liqueur with Raspberry
Eggnog that doesn't hide behind sweetness: Birkenhof eggnog with raspberry from the Eifel region has an alcohol content of 18% ABV and a deliberately reduced sugar dosage — creamy, but not heavy.
The Birkenhof distillery is known for its handcrafted brandies from the Eifel region. The raspberry distillate that gives this egg liqueur its fruity character comes from their own distillery—no added flavoring, just genuine distillate. That makes all the difference in the glass.
The nose initially offers classic vanilla creaminess, followed by fresh raspberry – distinct but not overpowering. On the palate, the texture is velvety smooth, the sweetness remains pleasantly subdued, and the finish reveals a light fruit freshness instead of the typical liqueur-like sugar lingering aftertaste.
- Neat: slightly chilled, approx. 8–10 °C — this is how the texture and fruit aromas are best brought out.
- On the rocks: with a large ice cube for hot days
- In the kitchen: over vanilla ice cream, in trifle or as a base for dessert sauces
Eight generations, one passion: In the heart of the Westerwald, the family behind the Birkenhof has been distilling their spirits since 1848 – with stubbornness, craftsmanship and genuine enthusiasm.
What's created here is far more than just schnapps. Fine brandies that taste of fruit and time. Spirits that mature in cognac casks and possess a natural sweetness. And the Master Edition – for all those who want to know what true distilling craftsmanship can achieve.
No wonder the Birkenhof attracts 20,000 visitors annually.
