The Teatro Alla Scala is the flagship of Bellavista — named after the famous Milan opera house and conceived as a distillate of the respective vintage. Behind the wine is one of the most renowned houses of Franciacorta, that wine region south of Lake Iseo in Lombardy, which has stood for Italy's most sophisticated sparkling wines since the 1960s.

The cuvée is based on Chardonnay and shows what this grape variety can achieve in Franciacorta: a fine perlage, aromas of white peach, citrus zest, and yeast pastry, plus a lively acidity structure and a long, dry finish with a hint of toasted almond. The Brut remains lean and precise — not a lush style, but elegance through clarity.

You should serve it best at 7–9 °C — as an aperitif, with risotto with seafood, with fried turbot, or with a mild soft cheese like Taleggio. Those who drink it pure get a good impression of why Franciacorta has long been considered a serious alternative to Champagne in Italy.
