The Anselmi San Vincenzo Veneto Bianco is a white table wine from the Veneto region that showcases what the area has to offer beyond the big names. Roberto Anselmi is one of those winemakers who forge their own path – consistently, with conviction, and with a keen sense for what truly matters in the glass.
In the glass, the San Vincenzo presents itself in a clear straw yellow with subtle highlights. The nose is inviting and lively: white blossoms, ripe mirabelle plum, a hint of pineapple , and aromatic herbs combine to create a bouquet that promises freshness – and delivers on that promise. On the palate, a refreshing, well-integrated acidity follows, making the wine lively and very drinkable.
Gambero Rosso awarded the 2016 vintage two glasses – an accolade that is no surprise given the price-performance ratio.
San Vincenzo is a wine for uncomplicated moments with a touch of sophistication : as an aperitif, with light appetizers, grilled fish, or a summer salad with goat cheese. Drink it young and chilled – at around 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, it unfolds its full potential.

What does the San Vincenzo pair best with?
It works well as an aperitif and reliably accompanies light dishes: grilled fish, seafood, risotto, pasta with a light sauce, or a salad with goat cheese. Not a wine for heavy braised dishes.
At what temperature should I serve it?
Best at 8 to 10 °C – i.e., well chilled from the fridge, let it stand for a short moment just before pouring. Served too warm, it loses its freshness.
How long can I store it?
The San Vincenzo is designed for freshness, not a wine for long-term storage. Stored in a cool, dark place, it remains in good condition, but its character – the lively acidity and the fruit – is best enjoyed when young.
Which grape variety is behind it?
The base is Chardonnay from the Veneto. Roberto Anselmi has been consistently working with this variety for decades and consciously forgoes DOC classifications – the San Vincenzo is therefore sold as a table wine, which says nothing about its quality.
The Winery
Roberto Anselmi – a winemaker with principles. In 2000, he left the Soave consortium because he did not agree with mass production and low prices. Since then, his wines no longer carry a Soave designation – but they carry all the more character.
On 70 hectares in the hills of Monteforte d’Alpone, on volcanic and calcareous soils, the Garganega grape is queen. With reduced yields, hand-picking, and the courage to go his own way, Anselmi showed what true quality from this region can be.
Today, his children Tommaso and Lisa continue the legacy – with fungus-resistant varieties. The result: white wines with elegance, minerality, and history.
