Roberto Anselmi – a winemaker with conviction. In 2000, he left the Soave consortium because he disapproved of mass production and low prices. Since then, his wines no longer carry the Soave designation – but they have all the more character. On 70 hectares in the hills of Monteforte d'Alpone, on volcanic and calcareous soils, the Garganega grape reigns supreme. With reduced yields, hand-harvesting, and the courage to forge his own path, Anselmi demonstrated what true quality this region is capable of. Today, his children, Tommaso and Lisa, carry on the legacy – sustainably, with fungus-resistant varieties. The result: white wines with elegance, minerality, and history.

White wines from the Veneto with attitude and origin
Roberto Anselmi made an unusual decision in the year 2000: he left the Soave Consortium – out of conviction. Mass production and dumping prices did not fit with what he had built on his 70 hectares in the hills of Monteforte d'Alpone. Since then, his wines no longer carry a Soave designation, but they do bear a clear signature.
The soils here are volcanic and calcareous, and the main variety is Garganega. Anselmi focuses on reduced yields and hand-harvesting – not a concession to efficiency, but a commitment to the fruit. The result is white wines with fine minerality, lively acidity, and a depth rarely found in this price range.
Today, Tommaso and Lisa Anselmi continue to run the winery. They focus on fungus-resistant varieties and sustainable cultivation – without abandoning their father's style. Anyone drinking the wines for the first time quickly understands why leaving the consortium was no loss.
