Alistre The Very First Day

Aliestre The Very First Day is the premium wine of the Aliestre Vineyards winery from Estremoz in the Alentejo region – created through close collaboration between oenologist Luís Louro and Carsten Kullik after intensive development work.

This blend combines three grape varieties: Alicante Bouschet and Touriga Nacional as the regional base, with Cabernet Sauvignon as the international component. The terroir around Estremoz is characterized by slate and marble – a geological subsoil that is reflected in the wine's minerality. Eighteen months of oak aging give it structure and depth.

In the glass, it displays notes of dark berries, herbs, and spices; on the palate, mild tannins and a cool, mineral freshness with a long finish. Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Pairs well with oven-roasted lamb shoulder, aged Manchego cheese, or venison ragù.
