Aliestre ONE Touriga Nacional Red

A Touriga Nacional that showcases the potential of marble soils: Aliestre Vineyards cultivates its vines on plots with marble outcrops near Estremoz in the Alentejo region – a geological feature where slate and marble meet. The light-colored marble reflects heat while simultaneously retaining moisture deeper in the soil, giving the 2022 vintage an unusual freshness for the region.

On the nose, fresh blueberries, spearmint, and a slightly earthy minty spice. The body is dense, the tannins present but not harsh, the finish long and cool-balsamic – a clear expression of the marble terroir. Limited to 3,000 bottles.

Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Pairs well with braised lamb, herb-crusted entrecôte, or spicy sheep's cheeses from the Alentejo region. Best enjoyed between 2025 and 2030.
