The Aliestre Dancing Grapes Rosé de Portugal is a light-footed, characterful rosé from the heart of the Alentejo – just the thing if you are looking for an uncomplicated yet complex companion for warm days.
Made from the classic Portuguese grape varieties Touriga Nacional and Aragonez , it unites the best of both worlds: the fine structure and depth of Touriga with the fruit-driven freshness of Aragonez. The vineyards around Estremoz lie at a relatively high altitude, which gives the grapes a longer ripening period and pronounced aromatics. The characteristic limestone and marble soils of this region lend the wine a mineral elegance that sets it apart from the mass of summer rosés.
In the glass, it displays a delicate, luminous light pink. The nose unfolds notes of peach peel, spring blossoms, and fine red berries – inviting and fresh, without being overpowering. On the palate, it impresses with juicy fruitiness, lively acidity, and a pleasantly dry finish.

How does the Dancing Grapes Rosé taste – is it rather fruity or dry?
Both at once: The wine is vinified dry, but brings juicy fruit – peach skin, red berry, a hint of spring blossom. The lively acidity keeps everything fresh, the finish is clear and dry without appearing too bony.
What does the rosé pair best with?
It works well with grilled vegetables, goat cheese, and light salads. It also cuts a fine figure with seafood or light fish. As an aperitif without food, it is also a solid choice.
At what temperature should I serve it?
Best between 8 and 10 °C – so well chilled, but not ice-cold. Served too cold, the aromatics are dampened; served too warm, the acidity loses its freshness.
How long does the rosé last after opening?
Opened and well sealed in the fridge, it lasts for two to three days. After that, the fruit freshness noticeably fades – best to drink promptly.
What makes this rosé from the Alentejo different from a Provence rosé?
The grape varieties Touriga Nacional and Aragonez bring more structure and depth than typical Provence cuvées. Added to this are the lime and marble soils around Estremoz, which give the wine a mineral note that many summer rosés do not have.
