Agrodolce alla Mela

Agrodolce alla Mela is a sweet and sour apple dressing from Italy – amber-colored, fruity, and versatile. The name reveals the principle: agrodolce , sweet and sour at the same time, in this case based on apples.

On the palate, it displays a soft acidity with distinct apple fruit and a mild sweetness that rounds off the vinegar character. The consistency is light and fluid, the finish fresh and pleasant.

In the kitchen, it's delicious drizzled over winter and fruit salads, as well as leafy green salads with nuts and goat cheese. Diluted with water in summer, it makes a refreshing drink. A light white wine with residual sweetness – such as a Riesling Kabinett or a fruity Pinot Grigio – pairs well with it.
