Lisa Bunn and Bastian Strebel dared to do something special in Nierstein in 2011: a winery from the ground up – with a clear attitude. Their Rieslings grow on the Roter Hang, on deep red slate. The Pinot varieties in the limestone-rich Wintersheim. In the cellar, they work naturally: spontaneous fermentation, long maceration times, aging in wooden barrels, patience on the fine lees. Organic cultivation on 21 hectares – not a concept, but lived everyday life. The result: wines that appear lively, complex and full of character. Wines that have something to tell.

Since 2011, Lisa Bunn and Bastian Strebel have been building on 21 hectares around Nierstein what many only promise: organic work in the vineyard, spontaneous fermentation in the cellar, long aging on the fine lees. The Rieslings come from the Roter Hang – deep red slate that gives the wines tension and depth. The Pinot varieties grow in the lime-influenced Wintersheim, classic and narrative at the same time.
