Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo boasts a history spanning over 250 years, and buildings dating back to its founding still stand. The winery is among the oldest in the Douro region – specifically, in the Cima Corgo sub-region. Here, on the right bank of the Douro River, the vineyards cover 120 hectares, 85 of which are designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ancient vines grow on the typical stone terraces. In 1999, the Amorin family acquired the winery, which has since become the largest family-owned winery in Portugal.

What our customers say

Everything went well. Seller knows his stuff. When the olive oil is used up, I will order there again. Organic olive oil from the Douro Valley (Portugal) is very good !
about Pomares Tinto (red)

Over 250 years of winemaking on the stone terraces of the Douro

Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo is located in Cima Corgo, the heart of the Douro Valley. 85 of its 120 hectares are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site – old vines on terraced schist slopes on the right bank of the river. Since 1999, the Amorim family has managed the winery with a clear focus on origin and craftsmanship.
