Pomares Tinto (red)
Six months in American and French oak – that's enough for Pomares Tinto to give structure to the Douro fruit weight without overpowering it.
Quinta Nova cultivates its vineyards in the Douro Superior, one of the warmest and driest areas in the entire Douro Valley. The natural terraces with their slate and granite soils force deep roots and concentrated grapes – the foundation for the estate's dense style.
In the glass, the Pomares Tinto displays a rich ruby red color. The nose offers ripe blackberry and plum, accompanied by a hint of roasted aromas and vanilla from the barrel aging. On the palate, it is juicy with rounded tannins, and the finish lingers.
