Livonia

Lievland Vineyards is located on the western slopes of the Simonsberg hill between Stellenbosch and Paarl. Its name means "Loveland" in Afrikaans – and it's steeped in history. Founded in 1715, it is one of the oldest estates in the region.

The estate lay dormant for many years until MAN Family Wines acquired it in 2017 and revived it as a "beautiful sleeper." Today, winemaker Riaan Möller cultivates 60 hectares of vines. The philosophy: to cultivate classic grape varieties using traditional methods. The flagship wine is called Heart's Ease Syrah .

The manor house dates back to 1865. And those who see the labels featuring Cupid on a springbok will discover an animal love story: Two horses once adopted a baby springbok. A true piece of South African soul in a jar.
