Lievland Liefkoos Rosé

A rosé from the heart of the Paarl region, which impresses with clear fruit and lively acidity — not a heavy summer wine, but a multi-layered companion for the whole evening.

Lievland is one of the most traditional wineries in Paarl, one of South Africa's oldest wine-growing regions. The soils around Paarl are characterized by granite and slate, which imparts a natural minerality to the wines. The name Liefkoos —Afrikaans for "caress"—reflects the approachable, inviting style that the winery aims for with this cuvée.

In the glass, the Liefkoos Rosé displays a bright salmon pink hue. The nose opens with aromas of pomegranate, red currant, and cranberry—precise, not overpowering. A hint of citrus zest and a subtle herbal spice add depth to the wine. On the palate, the texture is soft, the acidity fresh and well-integrated. The finish is crisp and dry with a lingering berry note.
