Fetzer Winery –
sustainable wine culture from Northern California since 1958
Fetzer Winery originated from a ranch that Barney Fetzer converted into a winery in Northern California in 1958. Today, the company cultivates approximately 290 hectares of vineyards and is one of California's most renowned producers of approachable, single-varietal wines – from robust Cabernet Sauvignon and fleshy Syrah to fresh Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
What sets Fetzer apart from many other wineries is its consistent approach to energy supply: For years, the entire production has run on 100% renewable energy from solar and wind power. This is not greenwashing, but a measurable decision that the winery communicates under the motto "The Earth Friendly Winery".
The wines reflect the warm, dry climate of Northern California: ripe fruit aromas, clear varietal character, and uncomplicated drinking pleasure. Whether for a barbecue with friends or as an accompaniment to a relaxed dinner – Fetzer delivers reliable quality from a region that produces red wines as convincing as crisp white wines.
