Fetzer Cabernet Sauvignon Valley Oaks
An accessible Cabernet Sauvignon from Central California – fruit-forward, with a clear structure and pleasant spice in the finish.
Fetzer Winery has been one of the well-known wineries in Northern California since the 1960s. The Valley Oaks label stands for drinkable wines from the Central Valley and the surrounding growing regions – suitable for everyday use without being cumbersome.
In the glass, the wine glows in a deep cherry-purple. On the nose, black currant, blackberry, and ripe cherry, underneath a clear undertone of dark chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla. On the palate, juicy and full-bodied, the tannins firm but without edges. In the finish, a slightly smoky aftertaste with roasted aromas and cocoa – longer than one would expect from an entry-level wine.
- Food: Grilled beef, burgers with strong cheese, pulled pork, or pasta with Bolognese
- Temperature: 16–18 °C
- Occasion: Casual dining, barbecue, weekday red wine without compromise

The Winery
The Fetzer Winery was founded in 1958 by Barney Fetzer by converting a ranch into a winery. The US winery is located in Northern California and covers a total area of 290 hectares. The special feature of Fetzer is the company's energy supply.
Fetzer Winery sources its energy for wine production from 100% sustainable methods (solar and wind power plants) and calls itself "The Earth Friendly Winery." Grape varieties grown by the winery include Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Syrah, Ruby Cabernet, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.
