Bodegas Hijos de Juan Gil
Juan Gil –
Monastrell power from the dry areas of Jumilla
Bodegas Hijos de Juan Gil has its roots in Jumilla , one of Spain's hottest wine regions, where rainfall is scarce and summers are long and relentlessly hot. It is precisely these extreme conditions that force the old Monastrell vines to dig deep into the soil – and the result is something you can taste: concentrated dark fruit, an earthy undertone, a warmth that is not heavy.
The Gil family cultivates their vineyards with the respect that old vines deserve. No embellishment, no masking with wood or technology. The wines demonstrate what Jumilla is capable of: power with poise, depth without heaviness. Those who perceive berries and earth on the first sip will discover on the second the complexity that distinguishes good red wines.
In the Vinoscout range you'll find the most important cuvées from the Juan Gil family – from approachable entry-level wines to mature single-vineyard wines that reward time in the cellar. Perfect with lamb, grilled meats, or a mature Manchego cheese.
