Intruso Monastrell Joven Jumilla
An uncomplicated everyday red wine from Jumilla – full-bodied, spicy and pleasantly direct in character.
Bodegas Hijos de Juan Gil is one of the most renowned wineries in the DO Jumilla in southeastern Spain. The region is known for its old Monastrell vines growing on barren limestone and rocky soils, which give the wine a distinct structure despite the heat.
The Intruso Joven displays aromas of ripe blackberry, licorice, and black pepper. The palate is medium-bodied, with soft tannins and a pleasant fruit profile – the typical Joven style without oak aging, highlighting the dark berry fruit of the Monastrell grape. The finish is short to medium-long, spicy and fresh.
