Bodega El Meson –
Rioja Alavesa between the Ebro and Atlantic climate

Bodega El Meson is located in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa, the northern part of the famous Rioja region, where the influence of the Atlantic remains palpable. Warm, sunny days alternate with cool nights – a rhythm that sharpens the aromatics of the grapes and preserves the natural acidity.

The vineyards extend near the Ebro River on calcareous and clayey soils, which give the wine structure and mineral depth. Closer to the riverbank, the soils change to alluvial land and gravel – a terroir that favors lighter, fruit-driven cuvées. Tempranillo and Garnacha are mainly grown as the leading red grape varieties, as well as Viura for the bodega's white wines.

The wines of Bodega El Meson directly reflect this interplay of soil, altitude, and Atlantic climate: accessible in style, with a clear origin, and without unnecessary effort in the cellar. A solid address for classic Rioja characters at fair conditions.
