The history of Alamos begins with an emigration: at the end of the 19th century, the Catena family left their home in Italy and found fertile ground in Argentina — both literally and figuratively. Since 1902, the family has been cultivating vineyards in Mendoza, now in the fifth generation. What began as a survival strategy became one of South America's most well-known wine projects.
The vineyards are located at high altitudes in the Andes, where cool nights and intense sunlight ensure slow ripening and distinct aromatics.
