Alamos Malbec 1.5L Magnum

Alamos Malbec 1.5L Magnum
A Malbec from Mendoza in a large format — the 1.5-liter magnum matures more slowly than the standard bottle, giving the wine more time to open up.
Alamos belongs to the Catena Zapata group and cultivates vineyards in Mendoza at an altitude of over 900 meters. This high altitude ensures cool nights, which preserve the acidity and shape the fruit profile. The Malbec grapes grow here on volcanic soils with good drainage.
In the glass, it displays dark blackberry and cassis, along with violets and a hint of leather in the background. Aging in French oak imparts subtle vanilla and toasty aromas without overpowering the fruit. The tannins are ripe and well-integrated, and the finish is medium-long with a touch of spice.
- Dishes: Grilled ribeye, leg of lamb with rosemary, Manchego cheese or hearty pasta with meat ragù
- Temperature: 16–18 °C
- Occasion: Large format for the table — ideal when several people are looking for an uncomplicated, approachable red wine.
- Drinking window: Now until 2027
