Alamos Malbec 1.5L Magnum

A Malbec from Mendoza in a large format — the 1.5-liter magnum ages more slowly than the standard bottle and gives the wine more time to open up.

Alamos belongs to the Catena Zapata group and manages vineyards in Mendoza at over 900 meters altitude. The altitude ensures cool nights, which preserve the acid structure and shape the fruit profile. The Malbec grows here on volcanic soils with good drainage.

In the glass, it shows dark blackberry and cassis, plus violets and a hint of leather in the background. Aging in French oak brings subtle vanilla and roasted aromas without masking the fruit. The tannins are ripe and well-integrated, the finish medium-long with light spice.
